Tomorrow May Never Come

When one finds a treasure, it is a crime not to share it.

"Tomorrow May Never Come"

Do not wait until tomorrow
For that something you could say
To help someone in their sorrow
And to cheer them on their way
If you tarry till tomorrow
Just to say those words of cheer
If you wait until tomorrow
You may find it is not there.

If you see somebody stumble
As he tries to bear his load
Will you turn away from helping
As you travel down life's road
If you say "perhaps tomorrow"
I will lend a helping hand
Perhaps there will be no tomorrow
Give that help now if you can.

If misfortune strikes your brother
Help him with a word of cheer

Do some deed of kindness for him
Let him know how much you care
If you can do something for him
Do it now and do not wait
If you wait until tomorrow
It could then be just too late.

If you quarrel with your neighbour
And with them its hard to live
If they say mean things about you
Try to love them and forgive
When they turn their faces from you
ANd you know they treat you wrong
Forgive today and not tomorrow
For that day may never dawn.

If you have hurt someone's feelings
And you feel that you've done wrong
If your stubborn pride won't let you
Talk to them before their gone
If you do not ask forgiveness
Then perhaps you will regret
That you waited for tomorrow
And you'll find your waiting yet!

Has worry dominated your life? Put an end to the spiritual schizophrenia. Don’t live having faith one moment and worry the next. To have a consistent walk with your Creator, you have to put Love first in your life. What is the divine gift of love? It fathoms forth from the endless wellspring of the Great Mystery. Comprehending the nature of it's mysterious power, is one of the most difficult questions for the mankind. Centuries have passed by, and love continues to flow. But no one can give the proper definition of love. To some Love is friendship set on fire for others Maybe love is like fate. You have to go all the way to find it. No matter how you define it or feel it, without love life would not be worth living. It is the eternal truth and guide in the history of mankind.

A Most Remarkable Thing.

What can we learn from this?

Crow and Kitten are Friends

Did you know that God sent a raven to feed Elijah with bread and meat in the morning and in the evening for a period of time during the drought until the brook Cherith dried up? You can read the account in 1 Kings 17:1-7.

The Ravens Feed Elijah. Now G-d told Elijah to withdraw to a deserted place, by the brook of Cherith near the Jordan. "Of the brook you will drink, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you", G-d promised him. And indeed, twice daily, in the morning and in the evening, the ravens came and brought him bread and meat from the royal table of the King of Judah. Imagine the king's surprise when the ravens swooped down upon his table and disappeared again with part of his meal! When this became a regular occurrence the king ordered that a special portion of bread and meat be served with his meals, and the ravens never failed to pick it up.

Looking Back on Crisis

I do not believe there is religion in the after life, but I do believe God is sovereign over all the faiths and aspirations of man.
I behold God as an independent agent free to deal with every heart regardless of whatever religion we may try to hide ourselves in.
The good heart seeks out the face of the Creator, and The Most High, seeks out the hearts of men, without regard to heritage or faith.

I like this Christian, I have a good idea how his mind works, he is a military man like I once was, and because my uncle was a navy pilot, who thanks to the grace and hand of God, also survived a few crashes.

Crisis:
A time of danger;
A time of opportunity

Very rarely do we ever go out and try to find a crisis that we can be a part of and experience. For most people, life is often a series of crisis's and we spend our energy running away from them. I have been blessed, in having several crisis's occur early in my adult life and that I had no chance to run from them. I was forced to try to survive them. I had to face them. I learned some things after about a half dozen of these not-so-wonderful events. Some are these are described here on the website.

Thoughts about Spongiform Encephalopathy and Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease

If it were to be known that spongiform encephalopathy, is epidemic in the United States, the economic meltdown and consequences would be immense. Which would be detrimental to our dying economy, and to the powers that be. As well as substantially dislocating major segments of the rendering and livestock industries):

It would appear that spongiform encephalopathy is now rampant in our wildlife populations. In 1997 Doctors in Kentucky issued a warning that people should not eat squirrel brains, a regional delicacy, because squirrels may carry a variant of mad cow disease that can be transmitted to humans and is fatal.

Moose, elk, deer, mink, rabbits, raccoons, skunks, and other wild animals are known to develop variants of mad cow disease that collectively are called transmissible spongiform encephalopathies.

In the last years, there have been many human cases of a form of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy, called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. No matter what you may call it, they are all killer prions.

Prions are small, proteinaceous infectious particles that contain no detectable nucleic acid of any form, but are transmissible among certain animals, where they cause fatal brain diseases. These particles are rod-shaped, about 165 nanometers long and about 11 nanometers in diameter, and they consist largely of a protein called PrPSc, having molecular weight 33,000-35,000. They are able to resist inactivation by boiling, acid (pH 3-7), ultraviolet radiation (254 nm), formaldehyde, and nucleases! They can be inactivated by boiling in detergents, alkali (pH > 10), autoclaving at 132 degrees centigrade for over 2 hours, and denaturing organic solvents such as phenol.

Stanley Prusiner won the Nobel prize for medicine in 1997 for his work on prions. His theory is that prions are a modified form of a protein naturally occuring in the brain (PrP), and that this modified form can arise from a cell mutation, but then spread by means of a kind of autocatalyzed chain reaction. This theory was initially very controversial, because all other self-reproducing biological entities appear to contain RNA or DNA. There are still many doubters. In the earlier literature prions are sometimes called "slow viruses", because of their slow effect. However, no virus has ever been associated with prion diseases.

While the victims could have contracted the disease from eating beef and not wild game, authorities have good reason to be reluctant to confirm a case of mad cow disease here in the United States. Since it is said that almost all of the known victims with the disease had contact with meat from wild game.

Attack of the killer prions

By Mary Rodgers

How’s this for a B-movie plot? Prions, killer proteins that can’t be destroyed, either by blistering heat or by any known disinfectant, turn good proteins bad. The bad proteins enter the food chain when infected animals are processed into feed that is foisted on captive herbivores. Now picture mad scientists devising more ways to turn cows into carnivores and ask yourself, “Why on earth?” Cut to greedy factory-farm execs looking to turn waste products into profits, and there’s your answer.

Who can you trust?

Danby is diplomatic Soul of Peace

The good and bad news from "The Australian Jewish News"

Danby v China

NAOMI LEVIN

MICHAEL Danby is making quite a name for himself doing something that few others dare: speaking loudly and consistently against the Chinese government.

A parliamentarian for 11 years and a backbencher for all that time, Danby has become adept at occupying a niche.

For almost 10 of those 11 years he was the sole Jewish federal MP, and fought for the Jewish community and Israel from the opposition side before the Rudd Government won office.

During those 11 years, he also spoke out on behalf of numerous injustices. He called for recognition for the victims of the Armenian genocide in the early 20th century, raised awareness for alleged war crimes in Darfur and everything in between.

But it is the Chinese regime’s oppression of its minority groups that brings out the fighter in Danby.

This week he hit the headlines over his support for the visit of Uighur leader Rebiya Kadeer to Australia.

Danby was one of the only government MPs willing to show public support for Kadeer, who has been accused by the Chinese government of inciting last month’s ethnic rioting in Xinjiang.

In a press release prior to Kadeer’s arrival, Danby made a telling ?statement.

“I feel it is necessary for someone from my background to support religious or cultural minorities who pursue their rights in a non-violent manner, whether it is the Vietnamese, Catholics, Tibetan Buddhists, the Baha’i or the Uighurs.”

Danby was one of two parliamentarians to speak at Sunday’s controversial film premiere of The 10 Conditions of Love – a documentary on Kadeer’s life – the other was Greens leader Senator Bob Brown.

It was a brave move, considering the amount of pressure the Chinese government applied to have the documentary canned.

In the lead-up to the screening, newspapers reported the Chinese government had asked Melbourne’s Lord Mayor Robert Doyle to pull the plug on the film and threatened to cancel Melbourne’s sister-city relationship with the city of Tianjin. Chinese nationals have also been accused of hacking into the website of the Melbourne International Film Festival – which screened the film.

At the premiere, Danby delivered a message to Kadeer supporters from his good friend, the Dalai Lama.

“He asked me to convey to you in Melbourne that she is another one of the national leaders who is a paradigm of non-violence,” Danby told the audience.

“He wanted to make it very clear to people that the claims of this woman being a violent person, or instigating violence, is from his point of view and with all of his authority – wrong.”

Few people can call the Dalai Lama a friend, but Danby might just be one of them.

Last month, the Member for Melbourne Ports returned home from a visit to the Indian home of the Tibetan government-in-exile.

As the chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Tibet, Danby was a member of the first-ever delegation of MPs to Dharamsala. He travelled with fellow Labor MP Melissa Parke, Liberal MP Peter Slipper, Greens senators Sarah Hanson-Young and Scott Ludlam and independent Senator Nick Xenophon.

Despite having met the Dalai Lama – the leader of Tibet’s government-in-exile – a number of times, Danby said his eyes were opened in Dharamsala.

“The thing that would strike you if you went there is that everything is so well organised,” he said. “Everything is so frugal, everything is so modest, but they have institutions for archives, for medicine, an institute of the arts with Tibetan artists, institutions for refugees, for retraining nuns.

“What strikes you is that here is a people who get no support from the United Nations, not a dollar, who get very little assistance from any government apart from the Indian government, and who have these handwritten signs on buildings, who have everything.”

Danby, who travelled to India straight from Israel, where he attended the Australia Israel Leadership Forum, contrasted the set-up in Dharamsala with the Palestinian government in Ramallah.

“The difference in the mentality and institutions is something,” he said. “Here you have Ramallah, [and] the Palestinians, who are having butter gorged down their throats by the United Nations, by the European Union, and yet they don’t have anything by comparison to the Tibetans.

“It is not something that you can really make a wider point about outside the Jewish community, but inside the Jewish community people would understand. It is so maddening to see this.”

Danby was diplomatic when it came to discussing the way the Chinese treat the Tibetans. The Chinese government considers the Tibetans to be a minority ethnic group living within China’s borders. However, Tibetans consider themselves to be an independent nation.

“It is a very bleak period in their history. Discussions after the Olympics with the Chinese broke down completely,” Danby reported, adding he hoped to raise the plight of the Tibetan people through his position as an MP.

He did not hold back though, when calling on Australians to alter the way they view China, particularly in the wake of the arrest of Rio Tinto businessman Stern Hu.

“Our relationship with them should be businesslike, cordial, but hard-headed. We know who you are,” Danby said of the Chinese.

Danby said the “Rudyard Kipling-Australian National University school of appeasement” favours carrots over sticks. But Kevin Rudd is much mor aware than they are of these kinds of things.”

His recommendation was that Australia should utilise China “to keep us out of recession”, but should avoid “idealising” the country.

“It is interesting, among young people, they have no illusions about China at all,” Danby noted. “They regard it as one of the international bad guys.

“Those born since 1989 have a completely different view. When I was young, with the Chinese Revolution and Chairman Mao, we used to wear Mao T-shirts just like people wear Che Guevara T-shirts now. They don’t do that anymore.”

As an influential government backbencher and chair of the parliamentary foreign affairs sub-committee, Danby is hoping his ongoing David and Goliath battle for justice for minority groups against the Chinese government will ultimately be successful.

Alas, most folks are too dependent on the orthodox trappings of religion. They see religion as the only pathway to a closer relationship with the Creator. But for many it becomes a corrupt and idolatrous insurmountable wall. Because of human nature of lust greed and envy, there is a dark side to all religions, those that adhere to blind faith, and put all their trust in tradition; are doomed to fallow a twisted path. I pray that this will draw you closer to the God of Abraham, and grasp that a closer walk devoid of the nightmare man's profane worldliness is not only possible, it is The Divine Will.

“I am the first and I am the last; there is no G-d beside Me“(Isaiah 44:6); and “Know … that there is none beside Me. I am G-d, no one else. I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil; I G-d do all these things“(Isaiah 45:6-7).

JEWS around the world have done some soul-searching after being confronted with images of American Orthodox Jews, including a number of rabbis, being led away handcuffed by FBI agents.

Police made 44 arrests last week in New Jersey on corruption-related charges. Among them were three mayors and 15 Orthodox Jews.

Accusations include a money-laundering operation that used methods such as cashing bad cheques through synagogue charities, political bribery and illegal organ brokering.

The president of the Organisation of Rabbis of Australasia, Rabbi Dovid Freilich, said last week that the Orthodox men arrested have potentially brought shame to Orthodox Jews around the world.

“Once one puts on the mantle of righteousness, one is expected to behave accordingly,” said Rabbi Freilich.

The Perth-based rabbi argued that while the rabbis arrested remain innocent until proven guilty, just the sight of them being arrested desecrates the Torah.

“When Orthodox Jews are paraded before the media, accused of having ruthlessly enriched themselves at the expense of others, of conspiring to betray the government of the country in which they live … this is a sorry onslaught on our Jewish sensitivity and a chillul Hashem, a desecration of God’s holy name,” he said.

“When we, as Jews, experience this humiliation, it is easy to forget that the vast majority of loyal Torah-observant Jews deal honestly and correctly with their fellow human beings.”

He added that Judaism should not be judged on the behaviour of a small number of Jewish people. Similarly, rabbis should not be judged on the behaviour of “those who are the exception to the rule”.

Since the arrests, rabbis around the world have been working to contain the perceived damage to their reputation.

A number of rabbinic organisations in the United States have organised seminars stressing the importance of obeying the law.

In addition, the director of the Centre for Ethics at America’s Yeshiva University, Adrienne Asch, said the Jewish community must come to grips with the fact that there are wrongdoers among us.

“It is time for Jews to face the fact that there are criminals among them, just as there are criminals everywhere else,” she said.

“We should not be protecting criminals for fear of persecution. We should be speaking out for what is fair and just.”

Without A Doubt

All OF MY GIRLS ARE SPECIAL!

This a post from Brooke Benthin's blog, "The Heart of a Country Girl".

"Walk by Faith.... Not By Sight"

Sometimes I wake up and I don't want to keep going, I feel like its this endless battle that I will never win. I walk tall, with my head held high trying to make it on my own... but the truth is everyone has a breaking point. Its being able to drop to your knee's and reach for someone that makes you strong, being able to admit your imperfections. Instead of wallowing in self pitty, and beating yourself up about the things you are unhappy about, do something about it. God created people for people, with the hope that we will work together to make this world a better place and help the strong understand that sometimes its ok to be weak, and help the weak be strong.

Try as we may to make our own plans and organize a fairytale future, God has his own plans for us. Even though we may not understand right away what his intentions are, we must have faith and trust in him because when the time is right we will see the bigger picture. When something goes in a different direction than we would like it to, don't sit and blame god for your unhappiness trust that he will guide you in the right direction.

Most would think I am bitter towards God for taking my father from me, and most question my faith after going through something so dreadful. I am not bitter, and i do not blame God, I never will. I went through some incredibly hard times after losing my father, but instead of cursing God and blaming him. I humbled myself to him, I broke down and prayed that he give me the strength to get through my weak points, because I knew that he wasn't putting me through these things to hurt me, but to better prepare me for what he has in store for me. We all have selfish points, where we blame others for hard times, or we blame God and say how could God love me and put me through this, or we question Gods existence But we miss the bigger picture. Within four months my entire world was turned upside down, I lost my father the most important man in my life, I lost my job, I was carless, my boyfriend walked out on me, and my dogs even ran away. All of that may seem sort of humorous because it sounds like a broke down country song, but it was incredibly hard for me.

Before I had the world at my feet, an amazing family, a well paying job, a supportive boyfriend, and I was able to handle the little things without struggle I thought life was perfect. I had always been known as miss independent, miss she has it all. But God had his own plans, at first when I lost everything I could not understand why it happened, I selfishly prayed for God to take me home to be with my father. Shortly after my father passed I was in my office at home breaking down, when suddenly i remembered the story of Jobe my father once told me. Jobe had everything, wealth, a healthy family, crops, animals, everything imaginable. He was a very loyal man to God, who always did right by God but his children did not do the same his family was not loyal as he was. One day God took it all away, his family died one by one, he become poor, his crops withered, and his animals died. God tested his faith, and Jobe stayed loyal to God. He prayed to God and stayed loyal to him despite what he had lost. In return God gave everything back to him, but 10x's better. As soon as I remembered the story my father had told me i dropped to my knee's and prayed. I kept my faith , and I remained loyal and faithful to him. I prayed that he guide me through these hard times, I asked him to help me be strong and accept the things I couldn't change, and to help the ones who hurt me and let me down. It wasn't easy and it still isnt, but slowly things have come together. I got a better job, a car, found my dogs, met my soul mate, and have the support of my loved ones. The only thing I still don't quite understand is why I lost my father... but I know he is in a better place with God watching over me.

Trust me, life is not a cake walk for anyone we all have our struggles and we all have to work hard to be happy. But its all worth it, you just have to stay strong, and understand that tomorrow is a new day. What we go through today will only better us for what we have in the future, but we must live in the moment. Appreciate every minuet you have, because you never know when God will call you home.

From Paula's blog, "The Masterwordsmith-unplugged"

SOME THINGS CAN'T BE UNDERSTOOD
“I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.” ~Robert McCloskey.

You can’t understand some things,
You may think you can,
But you really can’t,
Especially the why questions,
Other people’s motivations,
And the purpose of things;
There is a clever way though,
In living the answers,
And doing a few simple things—
Growing some patience,
Thinking a little differently,
Relaxing your expectations,
And extending your time frame;
In the meantime, be more generous
With your love and compassion,
For those lost in a dark tunnel,
Or stuck behind a brick wall,
Who don’t have your understanding.

~The author.

We humans do seem to have a penchant for trying to understand everything. The trouble is our brains sometimes trick us into believing we actually have an accurate and complete understanding of something, when in fact we aren’t even close, except in our belief to be so. Sometimes these certainties turn out to be very big blind spots. It isn’t that we aren’t trying hard enough to see reality clearly and completely, but rather that some realities can’t be understood, at least with the type of thinking we are accustomed to using, and within our narrow timeframe.

Consider a few fundamental questions that continually perplex us, to which we often fool ourselves into believing we have the correct answers:

• What is all this for?
• Why do bad things happen to good people?
• Where will I go when I die?
• Why is hindsight better than foresight?
• Why do we have to feel so badly before we know what real happiness is all about?

Coming to a valuable realization of the possibility that some things can’t be understood is mainly a matter of how we think and our timing. And sometimes it takes great patience to see that the main problem to all this is our impatience for quick answers to perplexing problems, the habit of which just creates the misunderstanding or worse yet, the illusion of understanding (which can oddly be the very same thing).

The problems in life that have always bothered me most are the “why” questions and the ones tempting me to try to uncover the real purpose of something, or interpreting the motivations of others, especially when they affect me so negatively and harmfully.

Since most self-talk thinking is unconscious, conscious thinking probably isn’t the way to unravel real understanding of perplexing problems in life, like our short list above. To do this, we have to make a major transformation in our consciousness, which involves a much different paradigm of time. This is what I imagine all the hullabaloo about the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012 is all about—not the end of the word, but a birth of new consciousness. But I guess I will just have to wait on that. Besides it my High School 50th reunion and it’s already on my calendar.

The clue to recognizing this transition in thinking and time, is in sensing a growing tolerance for ambiguity and tentativeness. In the end, the “certainties” that we are most sure about often turn out to be partial and incomplete uncertainties over time.

Take the example of bad things seeming to unfairly pile up on us, despite the courageous and noble effort to be a good person doing good. Going through a very dark tunnel desperately looking for the light at the end of it or trying to get past a brick wall and not getting anywhere, is a dreadful experience and probably one of the most hopeless and helpless challenges we can face in life:

• Losing a loved one unexpectedly and prematurely, especially a child or mate of 50 years.
• Becoming unemployed through no fault of your own, in your only career.
• Having a child fail miserably in life, despite your good efforts to avert that from happening.
• Being burdened by overwhelming physical pain that you can’t do anything about no matter how much time or money you spend trying to do so.
• Trying to escape virtually inescapable abuse, addiction or adultery.

Understanding why this has to happen can only happen after you get through to the light at the end of the tunnel or past your brick wall—and truly understand the meaning of, “what doesn’t kill you will make you a better person.” I am still living after getting lost in more than my fair share of dark tunnels and stuck behind plenty of brick walls of helplessness and hopelessness, so I must be becoming a better person for it.

In the meantime, about the only two viable things we can do about our dark tunnels or brick walls, are:

1. Try to view the unpleasant experience as a very tough life test to inspire your very best response to gain something valuable from the pain—something once you have it, you wouldn’t take all the gold in the world in a trade.

2. Be extra generous, kind and considerate with your love, compassion and empathy for others presently lost in a dark tunnel or stuck behind a brick wall, and not understanding it. Ironically, this may be our primary connection and purpose that turns out to be the actual understanding we are insatiably searching for. Of course I will have to adapt some tentativeness to this tentative conclusion in order to practice what I preach!

One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

Synchronicity

From Wikipedia
Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are causally unrelated occurring together in a meaningful manner. To count as synchronicity, the events should be unlikely to occur together by chance.

What is Synchronicity?

The term synchronicity is coined by Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961) to express a concept that belongs to him. It is about acausal connection of two or more psycho-physic phenomena. This concept was inspired to him by a patient's case that was in situation of impasse in treatment. Her exaggerate rationalism (animus inflation) was holding her back from assimilating unconscious materials. One night, the patient dreamt a golden scarab - cetonia aurata. The next day, during the psychotherapy session, a real insect this time, hit against the Jung's cabinet window. Jung caught it and discovered surprisingly that it was a golden scarab; a very rare presence for that climate.

The concept does not question, or compete with, the notion of causality. Instead, it maintains that just as events may be grouped by cause, they may also be grouped by their meaning. Since meaning is a complex mental construction, subject to conscious and subconscious influence, not every correlation in the grouping of events by meaning needs to have an explanation in terms of cause and effect.

The idea of synchronicity is that the conceptual relationship of minds, defined as the relationship between ideas, is intricately structured in its own logical way and gives rise to relationships that are not causal in nature. These relationships can manifest themselves as simultaneous occurrences that are meaningfully related—the cause and the effect occur together.

There is a common thread among you who call me friend, I see it manifest in your e-mail and blogs.
Whatever you do my friends; Hold on tight to your Dreams!

I knew that my friend Paula Khoo was suffering, not because she said so, but because I could feel it. Perhaps how we feel is very much dependent on mood of those we care about, even if you are half a world apart. So it would seem Paramount that for the sake of the collective, that I too, should hold tight to my dreams of a better world.

It is this time and this place that matter--not some other time or place. What matters is here and now--the people here and now.

"My People" Hosea 4:6

The literal account of the worlds many sacred writings is almost impossible to appreciate without assistance. Thousands of commentaries exist, and as we might imagine, many offer interpertations that contradict others. No one seems to agree that there is a definitively "correct" way to read these works. For example the Torah is said by oral tradition to have at least 600,000 different interpretations, representing the number of those who recived the Torah through Moses at Mt. Sinai. As in all religions this is what makes the study of the Divine so interesting. If we simply accept the literal meaning of what is written, then what we digest is little more than a collection of many unusal stories. However if we engage it and work with them by using a variety of investigation. A study like this, is a continuous give and take, it becomes a mystical relationship between the text, and the person studying it. To the student who becomes intimate with a set of words, commentaries, commentaries on commentaries, a brand new world opens. And a never ending quest begins.

I was going to put this on a post for tomorrow, but is it my prerogative to put the Great Mystery of all creation on hold? Noooo! He has no need to be religious, but He understands all the needs of the weaker spirits of men, and is free to work around all religions to deal with hearts of us all.

The first Americans Were Hairy Ainus?

This is cool, I would not mind being kin to the Ainu.

Ainus - The first Americans? The theory that the Ainus were the first to settle North America is based largely on skeletal and cultural evidence among tribes living in the western part of North America and certain parts of Latin America. The controversial conclusions of Anthropologist Joseph Powell of the University of New Mexico after examining the 9300 year-old remains of Kennewick Man also support this. More about this here.

Who are the AINU? Only about 15 people today speak native Ainu, a language not related to any other. The 150 000 AINU still alive can be found in Hokkaido island of Japan, the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin belonging to Russia now. Many of them may not even know that they are Ainus, as parents and grandparents had to become Japanese and hid their origins to protect children from racial discrimination. Many Ainus dislike the term Ainu because of a common derogatory pronunciation of the word in Japanese (A! Inu!, which means "Ah! A dog!" in Japanese) and prefer to identify themselves as Utari (comrade in the Ainu language).

"The Ainu lived in this place a hundred thousand years before the Children of the Sun came" is told in one of the Ainu legends (Yukar Upopo). In the Jōmon period (14 000 BC – 400 BC) the Japanese people came probably from Korea and drove the native Ainus to the northern periphery islands of Japan. The word ainu means human as opposed to kamuy, a spirit.

DAG

"It makes one's heart ache when one sees that a man has staked his soul upon some end, the hopeless imperfection and futility of which is immediately obvious to everyone but himself. But isn't this, after all, merely a matter of degree? Isn't the pathetic grandeur of human existence in some way bound up with the eternal disproportion in this world, where self--delusion is necessary to life, between the honesty of the striving and the nullity of the result? That we all--every one of us--take ourselves seriously is not merely ridiculous."

"He tends a garden, the borders of which have, without his knowledge, been set by his own powers. His pride in tending it well and his blindness to everything that lies outside its borders make him a little self-opinionated. But is this any worse than that slightly irritable contempt of the man who cannot so deceive himself and has therefore chosen to fight extra muros?"

". . . and have not charity." Isn't the fulfillment of our duty towards our neighbor an expression of our deepest desire? It very well may be. In any case, why torture ourselves in order to hurt others?"

"So! We are to believe that misfortune is the fault of those it strikes--a fault which sooner or later will blossom into crime, unless the unfortunate one keeps silent about his fate."

"You cannot play with the animal in you without becoming wholly animal, play with falsehood without forfeiting your right to truth, play with cruelty without losing your sensitivity of mind. He who wants to keep his garden tidy doesn't reserve a plot for weeds".

The alluring smell of honeysuckle wafts a heavenly, sweet jasmine-like fragrance. Ambient light, without a visible source, the blue gray of dawn gives way to the pale gold of a new day. Low bushes, their soft silk-gray leaves silvered with dew. All over the hills, the cool red of the cat's-foot in flower. An iridescent blue horizon. Emerging from the ravine where a brook runs under a canopy of leaves, I walk out onto a wide open slope. Drops, sprinkled by swaying branches, glitter on my hands, cool my forehead, and evaporate in the gentle morning breeze."

The above paragraph really is a bastardized "quote". But now that I've added a little of my own life's experience to it. My innermost thoughts have merged with his. Now it has become a part of me, and how can I give it back? Yet it is only a human observation that belongs to the common mind, and is in part, kindred to us all.
Color me crazy, but this gave me a kind of strange mystical feeling; as if we were all standing there together, at that very same moment in time.

"Take a moment to pause and allow life to meet you where you are; where it is. The moment is your best and constant teacher."

Forgive me Dag Hammarskjold, wherever you are.

Before the Kennedy assassination, the death of UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold was the headline of the day. Like the Kennedy assassination, conspiracy theories surrounded the suspicious plane crash that took Hammarksjold's life.

The CIA and allied intelligence agencies were involved in countless political events around the globe. I knew one of the men who was with Howard Hunt in the rail yard west of the grassy knoll! As an field grade officer in the U.S. Army's Special Forces Group (SOG) he went on to help orchestrate under William Colby, the notorious Phoenix program in South Vietnam. (however, one cannot be too careful in examining claims like that.

Dag Hammarskjold was born in Jonkoping, Sweden, in 1905, and died near Ndola, Northern Rhodesia, on September 18, 1961, in an air crash while flying there to negotiate a cease-fire between United Nations and Katanga forces.

The son of the Swedish prime minister during World War I, Hammarskjold studied law and economics at the universities of Uppsala and Stockholm. He quickly gained prominence in his own country as secretary and then chairman of the board of governors of the Bank of Sweden; he was undersecretary of the Swedish department of finance from 1936 to 1945. In 1946 he entered the foreign ministry as financial adviser and became chief Swedish delegate to the OEEC in 1948. In 1951 he was the vice chairman of the Swedish delegation to the United Nations, in 1952 he was chairman, and in 1953 he was elected Secretary-General and re-elected in 1957.

Widely read in literature and philosophy, Dag Hammarskjold translated the poetry of St.-John Perse into Swedish. He was made a member of the Swedish Academy in 1954.

"On the bookshelf of life, God is a useful work of reference, always at hand but seldom consulted. In the white-washed hour of birth, He is a jubilation and a refreshing wind, too immediate for memory to catch. But when we are compelled to look ourselves in the face--then He rises above us in terrifying reality, beyond all argument and "feeling," stronger than all self--defensive forgetfulness."

Old way to kill viruses: Shake them to death!

They are calling it a new way, but it is older than my father, how can this be? The only thing new is more evidence that it works. When you think of all the lives it could have saved one can only ask themself why?

Square Wave History

"Royal Raymond Rife (1888-1971)
was a brilliant scientist who developed the technology that is still used today in the fields of optics, electronics, radiochemistry, biochemistry, ballistics and aviation. He received 14 major awards and honors for his work, as well as an honorary Doctorate by the University of Heidelberg."

Scientists have long been able to destroy viruses in the same way that opera singers presumably shatter wine glasses. Research mathematically determined the frequencies at which simple viruses could be shaken to death.

So why did they keep us in the dark? If this is as true as it looks to be, then it is a crime they are not now using it to save lives.

"The capsid of a virus is something like the shell of a turtle," said physicist Otto Sankey of Arizona State University. "If the shell can be compromised [by mechanical vibrations], the virus can be inactivated."

"New evidence has shown that laser pulses tuned to the right frequency also can kill certain viruses. However, locating these so-called resonant frequencies is a bit of trial and error."

"Experiments must just try a wide variety of conditions and hope that conditions are found that can lead to success."

"To expedite this search, Sankey and his student Eric Dykeman have developed a way to calculate the vibrational motion of every atom in a virus shell. From this, they can determine the lowest resonant frequencies".

As an example the satellite tobacco necrosis virus resonates strongly around 60 Gigahertz (where one Gigahertz is a billion cycles per second), as reported in the American Institute of Physics.

The long overdue virus' death knell

All objects have resonant frequencies at which they naturally oscillate. Pluck a guitar string and it will vibrate at a resonant frequency. The Royal Rife Story.

Calloused

Do not tempt me to say
What will hurt the foolish you
My lips are sealed
and so are your truth
There is no reason
Why I must succumb
For I do not say yes
to falsity and lies..

I am calloused..
I feel no pain
For my heart is filled
with truth and joy..

Internet University of Enlightenment

Why did it take me so long to see this? I got myself an Internet University going here. I've always been impressed by the wisdom and caliber of those who come to share their hearts, and enlighten us with rare and inspired knowledge. Some of you like me, may have not realized it, but every single one of you is a student and a teacher. As I look at all my friends and followers, I see that all have been blessed for some divine purpose, that as yet to be fully revealed; but I'm beginning to see it all come together. A blind man could see that there is something going on here! Many of you already have classes in session. All that is needed is to get our heads together and organise the curriculum.

Ah, my sages are already reporting in. Here is just a few of our dedicated faculty currently teaching to all that will hear!

YESTERDAY'S DREAMS

YESTERDAY'S DREAMS - SMOKIE 1982: A sweet song that sounds more like 1962 or maybe the likes of Chad and Jeremy, or
Peter and Gordon. If I loved you yesterday; I still love you today. I never learned how to stop loving people, oh I may try to hide you in the back of my mind, but you are always there because true love never dies. The nice thing about about this incredible Internet, is that it opens doors to multitude of new friendships. And just who you may ask was my first friend on this magic web? It was so long ago that I did not really know what a blog was, or even how e-mail worked. You can imagine my excitement when from a complete stranger, I got my first e-mail back and it's from a news paper editor no less!

It was the beautiful Carren Lissner. "Oh boy", I said to myself; "this will never last, I have not written a thing in ten years! And now I and writing to an editor??" "If she does not know that I'm an idiot by now she will soon find out!" Ha ha, little did I know what a big heart Caren had. For without her kindness and support there would be no blog here for you to enjoy. So now you know just why I am so very fond of the Addled Writer.

ANNOUNCEMENT

New life for my friend Caren's BOOK Carrie Pilby!
"Carrie Pilby is being re-released in July, 2010 under the new Harlequin Teen imprint!!"

"The new line has gotten a lot of press last week from USA Today and other outlets. And today some information went up on the web listing their titles for 2010, so the cat's out of the bag."

Carrie’s a teen genius—and hermit—on a mission to change her social misfit status, but does she have to dumb things down just to fit in?

"It sold more than 40,000 in its original printing, so I'm glad that they're re-releasing it...and to a teen audience, too! I have heard from many teens who enjoyed the book."

"Since Carrie Pilby is coming out for teens next summer, I did a few tweaks. Mostly just made sure there was nothing toooo out of date. Anyway, if you have any easy suggestions, please email me pronto at lizzner@aol.com. Thanks! (No wise guys!) "

Yes Caren, I will let the world take a gander at the list and see your name under July 2010. Sorry no picture folks.

You will like Caren; if you need advice on writing, or publishing a book, feel free to send her an e-mail, just say you know the Keeper, and she will be your friend for life.

Ha ha, she may kill me for this!
