What do you think?

Dropping by to say that your words will keep me in check for I have trivialities in my mind that I could not help but be possessed...however, I always know the way to my faith, but just a thought I want you to know is that when I read your notes, you made me smile. Take care dear friend. :-)

My Dear Friend,

I am not to keen on institutionalized religion of any nature. I feel that in any religious order there exists fundamentalism which in my humble opinion becomes a destructive and a negative attribute. Please keep in mind that I don't think every person associated with a religious group is a fundamentalist, or a destructive person, only that within these groups there in lies the opportunity to foment fundamentalist ideals, which by nature are discriminating.

On the late Alan Watts, he is to my ears like a record that can be listened to many times over. His instrument is his ability to share his viewpoints. They somehow are simultaneously very profound yet entertaining.

He was very prophetic, look at the world today and listen to what he said many years ago about its future.

Everything that he said would happen already has, and no doubt at the rate that humanity is growing the rest will be fulfilled in the not to distant future.

Actually if another person was not put on this earth the outcome would still be the same, I don't think nothing can really stop it from happening because humans are not willing to make the sacrifices needed to become one with the universe. Myself included.

I also love to revisit Dr. Kings speeches, I have a favorite, his speech titled "Beyond Vietnam" a tear jerking and eerily recondite speech that over time reflects exactly the political and military mess that we are in today as we were in 40 years ago.

Regards,

Joseph
